Understand how Buildplus is improving
Your expense attachments will now be front and center in the project ledger. You'll be able to review and upload attachments right from the project ledger, and the review mechanism has been improved so you don't have to navigate to a new page.
We've now created a way for you to hold money in a company operating wallet, just like you hold money for projects. Just like projects this is a real bank account. Now when you get paid through Buildplus, that payment will go to your operating account first. You will be able to deposit or withdraw money by clicking "Manage Wallet." Soon you'll even be able to pay out of this wallet, just like you pay out of project wallets. This is great for expenses that don't need to show up on a project ledger.
We're starting to report on the money you're making through Buildplus in the company home page, or profit center. This is where you will be able to manage your business and report on revenue and expenses that flow through Buildplus.
Now you can create refunds for invoice payments. If you need to send money back to a client for whatever reason, you can create a refund from the invoice page. Select the payment, enter an amount you'd like to refund, review and click create refund to send money back to the client.
Now you can add credits as invoice line items. These credits adjust the invoice grand total and upon issuance roll up into payables just like other invoice line items.
You can now pay by check to vendors. Onboarded vendors can add a check payment method themselves, or you can add one for a vendor you've created. Payees will get a check mailed to them via USPS .
Now when issuing an invoice, invoice line items are turned into payables automatically. Make sure you have a payee assigned to each invoice line item! Line items due to the same payee will be grouped into a single payable with multiple payable line items. Invoice payables are created in a "Pending" state on invoice issuance.
Updated the subcontract creation and editing interfaces. Fixed bug with associating subcontract to subcontractor on creation. Updated the vendor (aka contact / payee) page.
We've updated the new payable creation screen so that the "payee" and "subcontract" fields are independent. This helps in cases where the payee is not necessarily the subcontract holder.
